TERMS OF SERVICE

The agreement

LAST UPDATED: JULY 2026

What Codeography is

Codeography is a tool that tracks the shape of your coding sessions (file names, saves, languages, timing, errors — never your source code) and generates narrative stories from that activity. By using it, you agree to these terms.

AI-generated content

The narratives Codeography produces are generated by artificial intelligence (Claude, by Anthropic) based on your coding activity. They are creative interpretations, not factual records or professional assessments. AI can make mistakes or produce inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing anything you choose to share publicly.

Your account

You sign in with GitHub. You are responsible for keeping your account secure. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us.

Your data

You own your coding data and the stories generated from it. We store them to provide the service. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how to request deletion.

Acceptable use

Do not abuse, attack, or attempt to disrupt the service, reverse-engineer it, or use it to violate any law. We may suspend accounts that do.

The service is provided as-is

Codeography is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from its use, to the maximum extent permitted by law. The service may change, break, or be discontinued.

Free tier

The free tier is provided at no cost and may change. Paid tiers, if and when offered, will have their own billing terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
